Hi all I wanted to get more info on my Pilot/Military watch, it was made by, Services Watch Co. Ltd. looks to be from pre-WWII says, Services Competitor Foreign might be German or Swiss manufacture English market. It's in the shop at the moment getting fixed up. Any info would be welcome. After some research I have some of the answers, It's a Services Watch Co. Ltd., Put together in England using Swiss movement made by Theil Bros possibly late 20s` and Possibly German or Swiss case, sold to the German, French and other European after Markets. The term/logo In Quotation marks, "Services" was used from early 20's till late It does not necessarily denote a watch designed for military service, but some were issued to army, air force, and others(although this design is considered a "Officers Trench watch". UPDATE My reasearch shows the watch case was manufactured by Taubert & Fils (Swiss), Manufacture Des Boits Borgel (manufacturer of Borgel cases) Spring pull crown and pin setting, Case and movement unwind from one another to open, first real attempt at water resistance, later this case manufacturer would go on to produce the highest grade water proof watch cases for the Swiss watch makers market. Case was manufactured around 1927, so I'll assume the movement was of contemporary time frame. The AD Dates to the 50's. I have found a few ads, some show Train engineers, some show Airline pilots, I have even found an ad from the 60's with an Astronaut Touting the accuracy of the watches.. The Bund Band I picked for the watch, will give it a nice look. I'm still looking into details of movement and so on..
